This recording of DA in the fall of 1980 was recorded on cassette from the audience by Larry Norman at the legendary L.A. rock venue Madame Wong's in Santa Monica when the band was actively seeking a mainstream record deal. Legend has it that Mark Heard recorded at least one of these shows with his mobile recording truck but any evidence of such has yet to surface.

The recording is rough and raw but so was the band and the energy captured here gives one pause as to how this band could've slipped under the radar with this much obvious talent and creativity. Go figure.
